Negotiations Update-Oct. 2011

Adriana Volpato effectively resumed in the position as our CSN Advisor after Labour Day. She has been working closely with Noreen Gobeille (VP Grievance) and Geoff Selig (President) on a number of important outstanding grievances since her return and will continue to do so until mid-October.
The negotiation Steering Committee anticipates that we will be able to meet with Adriana shortly to formalize our negotiation plan and strategy. In the meantime, we continue to prepare to effectively negotiate a new collective agreement within an interest-focused or traditional negotiation framework. Our goal is to avoid a drawn-out negotiations process with no deadlines or built in consequences.
