CUPEU's fresh new News look: CUPEUNow

Welcome to CUPEU Now-CUPEU's new News Blog which is formally launched today, June 1st 2011.
This new initiative came out of the work of the Communications Committee, comprised of: Shoshana Kalfon, Danielle Duguay, Gillian Roper and Dale Robinson. This team, meeting regularly, has committed themselves to updating this news blog on a regular basis with the news you most want to have; including updates on important union issues, notices of upcoming social events and other relevant information CUPEU members need to have. For instance in today's news you'll find feedback from your VP Negotiations to let you know where CUPEU is in terms of it's negotiations.
In CUPEUNow, you'll also have access to timely news articles such as today's article on Vacations; who is entitled to what and when, according to our Collective Agreement, and Summer Hours; how and when you can bank these.
Are you interested in becoming part of CUPEU? We thought you'd like to know what it's like to be a Union Council representative and so we've included an article on this. This information is especially relevant given we will be looking for new members for various committees, including the Executive, and will be voting for these at our next General Assembly.Look for more information on this important event in the weeks to come.
We have attempted to include news here that we believe you want to have. To support this venture, Gillian Roper has created a Questionnaire to poll CUPEU members about their news interests. If you haven't already done so, go to CUPEU Questionnaire to tell us what news you want to have. You can also sign up to write some news yourself should you feel the desire to put pen to paper and be creative.
